Our Approach

At ASIL Ventures, LLC, we want to be clear about where AI fits into our work and where it does not. When you come to us for our expertise, judgment, and engagement, you should know exactly how we do that work.

 Our Approach

AI tools support our process but do not do our work for us. We rely on AI only in a narrow, supporting role, and it never produces the substantive content, strategy, research, or recommendations we deliver to clients. Everything you receive has been shaped, checked, and signed off by a staff member, and no AI output reaches you without that step. When a task falls outside what our staff can personally stand behind, we do not send it to you.

We approach AI with a clear understanding of what it cannot do well. It can produce output that sounds authoritative while being factually incorrect, inventing statistics, facts, or sources with no basis in reality. Because it is trained on existing material, it gravitates toward common phrasing and predictable ideas rather than anything distinctive. It can also reproduce existing bias without flagging it. None of this can replace original thought, genuine research, or a real point of view, which is why we treat AI strictly as a tool and never as a source.

Where AI May Assist

In each case below, a member of our team reviews, edits, and signs off on the output before we use it in any way:

  • Sorting and organizing internal files and data
  • Transcribing interviews, provided you have given explicit permission to upload the audio itself
  • Building general familiarity with an unfamiliar subject, knowing that anything AI produces remains unverified until our staff checks it
  • Preparing routine internal communications that are not intended for clients
  • A first look at spelling, punctuation, and basic grammar, giving our writers more room to focus on substance: clarity, precision, and voice
  • Scheduling and calendar coordination
  • Making small adjustments to images, designs, or videos our team has already created
  • Condensing lengthy articles into summaries
  • Proposing edits to clarify awkward or confusing sentences
  • Internal note-taking, meeting transcription, and summarization

What We Do Not Use AI For

  • Making judgment calls specific to a client’s situation
  • Changing content without a staff member weighing in on each specific edit
  • Building out strategic recommendations or plans
  • Representing AI-assisted work as entirely human-made, or presenting fabricated data, quotes, or testimonials as genuine
  • Standing in for original research, interviews, or credible source material
  • Handling any task that makes up the core service you are hiring us to deliver
  • Producing client proposals, or drafting client-facing copy from beginning to end, unless a client specifically asks for this
  • Reviewing content that belongs to you, is confidential, or is proprietary, or any material you have shared with us, without your explicit go-ahead
  • Building an image, design, or video from the ground up on its own, unless a client specifically asks for this

Human Review

Nothing reaches you without a staff member behind it. Our team researches, writes, reviews, and finalizes every deliverable, and any suggestion an AI tool makes gets weighed by a person before it factors into our work in any way, internal or client-facing.

Data Privacy

We keep confidential client information, proprietary data, and personally identifiable information out of AI tools entirely. The AI tools we rely on are limited to internal, private use, so nothing you share with us feeds into the training of any outside model. When a client agreement includes its own AI-related restrictions, we follow those instead.

Keeping This Policy Current

Because AI is evolving rapidly, so is our approach to using it. We revisit this policy regularly and revise it as tools, industry norms, and applicable laws shift.
